MARY ISABEL GETTY

Grantsville, Md.

  The many friends of Mrs. Mary Isabel Getty, widow of the late Alvin F. Getty, 
were shocked to hear of her sudden death at Beverly Hills, California last 
Thursday.  She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Alice K. Steiner, of 
Cumberland; Mrs. Mattie Alexander, Huntington, W.Va.; Mrs. Florence Porter, 
Oakland, and Mrs. William Coombs, Baltimore.  Mrs. Getty was born in Oakland and 
was well known in Grantsville, also in Cumberland where she had lived for many 
years with her husband.  Arrangements for the funeral have not yet been 
announced.  Her body will be brought to Grantsville for burial beside that of 
her husband.
