  VIVIAN P. GETTY
  
    Vivian P. Getty, 79, of 402 Charles Street, Milford, Del., formerly of
  Grantsville, Maryland, died Saturday, March 30, 1985, at Courtland Manor
  Nursing Home, Dover, Del.
    Born in Carbondale, she was a daughter of the late Michael Powers and
  Oliver (Bressler) Powers.
    She taught in elementary schools in Grantsville, Hancock, and Hagerstown,
  Maryland, before her retirement in 1970.  She was a member of St. Mary's
  Catholic Church, Hagerstown; the Washington County Retired Teachers
  Association, the American Association of University Women, and the
  Auxiliary of Washington County Hospital, Hagerstown.
    Her husband, Frank J. Getty, who died in 1961 was a former school
  principal.
    Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Kathleen G. Burke, Milford, and one
  grandson.
    Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church,
  West Washington Street, Hagerstown, by Father George Altman.  A graveside
  service was held in the Grantsville Cemetery by Father William Moody.
    Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 North Potomac Street, Hagerstown, was
  in charge of arrangements.
