Giatras, 58, of Cumberland, Md., died July 4, 1995, at Memorial Hospital in Cumberland. Giatras was born Sept. 16, 1936, in L'Aquila Provence Abbruzzi, Italy. She was the daughter of the late Amedeo and Domenica M. (D'Ascenzo) D'Ascenzo. She is survived by her husband, Louis G. Giatras; three sons: Dr. Anthony G. Giatras, M.D., Port Jefferson, NY; Troy N. Giatras, Esq, Charleston, W.Va.; and L. Gino Giatras, president of Curtis' and Coney Island Famous Weiners, Cumberland; and a brother-in-law, James G. Giatras, Ocean City, Md. Giatras was a proprietor of Curtis' and Coney Island Famous Weiners. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and a past librarian for St. Patrick's Grade School for 13 years. Friends were received July 5 and 6 at Scarpelli Funeral Home. A Christian wake was conducted July 6. A mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic Church July 7, with Pastor John T. Wielebski and Msgr. Nicholas P. Amato officiating. Interment, Sts.
