GIBSON Garrett County, Maryland Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Morgart, Jennings, received a message Monday night telling them of the death of their son-in-law, Harold Gibson. Mr. Gibson died at a hospital in Washington, D.C., Monday, March 11, following an operation for appendicitis. He was about 45 years of age and was a veteran of the World War, serving in Company C, 111th Infantry, Twenty-eighth Division. He suffered a shattered hip bone and other injuries during the second battle of the Marne. He married Miss Phyllis Morgart Dec. 12, 1929. For a short time after their marriage they resided at Jennings and later moved to Washington, D.C., where Mr. Gibson was employed in the compensation department of the Veteran's Bureau. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Robert Gibson, McKeesport, Pa., and one brother, Robert Gibson. Mrs. W. A. Morgart and son, Louis A. Morgart, went to Washington to attend the funeral. Burial was at Arlington Cemetery on March thirteenth. Meyersdale Republican, March 21, 1940
