  Grant E. (Gilly) Gilbert Sr., 63, of Stoystown RD 3, died Aug. 28, 1988, at
  his home.  Born Oct. 29, 1924, in Boswell, son of the late Arthur and
  Margaret Mowry Gilbert.  Survived by wife, the former Dona Ohler; and these
  children:  Mrs. Gary (Donna) Thomas, Somerset; Grant E. Jr., married to
  Bonnie Bosley, Greensburg; Dennis James, married to Ruth Pritts, Friedens
  RD 1; and Faith Hope at home.  Also 7 grandchildren.  He was a brother of
  James, of Gray; Mrs. Opal Yorkony, Boswell RD 2; Mrs. Virginia Swank,
  Friedens RD 1; Mrs. Fay Baker, South Gate, Michigan; Mrs. Idella Manges,
  Somerset RD 1; Mrs. Helen Fye, Listie; Mrs. Emily Harkcom, Somerset RD 3;
  Mrs. Alma Bittner, Stoystown RD 1; and Dwight, Jennerstown.  He was a World
  War II Army veteran.  Retired from Walter's Tire Service, Somerset.  Member
  of the Kantner Assembly of God Church, where viewing will be held from 10
  a.m. until services at 11 a.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Clarence Spencer. 
  Interment, Beams Cemetery.  Family received friends 7-9 p.m. Monday and
  will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home,
  STOYSTOWN.  Memorials may be given to the Somerset Community Hospital
  Hospice program, Somerset, Pa.
