  John O. Gilliland Sr., 58, of Roaring Run Road, Boswell, died April 3, 2003
  at home.  Born June 16, 1944 in Johnstown a son of Harold and Violet
  (Mishler) Gilliland Sr.  Preceded in death by father.  Survived by mother
  of Johnstown and wife the former Lydia "Tootie" Young to whom he was
  married to for 40 years; son, John O. Jr. married to the former Tracey
  DuLuca of Thomas Mills, Michael L. married to former Kathy Stepp, Altoona;
  three grandchildren Michael, Christopher and Sarah; special friends,
  Jonathan, Shannon and Jessica.  Brother of Harold Jr. "Sonny" of
  Johnstown.  Betty wife of Carl McDaniel of Elton, Jane wife of Ron Kinsey
  of Johnstown, Joyce wife of Bill Glass of Freedom, Linda wife of Dan
  Benford Johnstown, Peggy wife of Jay Pringle Johnstown, Sally wife of
  George White Elton.  He was a member of Davidsville Community Church,
  Pender Road.  He was a graduate of Westmont High School.  He was on a
  disability retirement from Bethlehem Steel Corp. the Bar Rod and Wire
  Mill.  Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at
  George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc. Davidsville.  Service will be held 11
  a.m. Saturday at Davidsville Community Church where remains will lie in
  state from 10 a.m. until time of service.  Rev. Mike Beam officiating. 
  Interment Stahl Mennonite Cemetery.
