Gilmer, 75, of Jefferson, Pa., died Wednesday June 3, 1987, at the Greene County Memorial Hospital. Born June 25, 1911, in Crucible, daughter of the late Clyde and Alice (Miller) Swan. Also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Gilmer; a daughter, JoAnn Gilmer; two brothers: Eugene and Robert Swan; and a sister, Mary Swan. Survived by two daughters: Mrs. Frances "Pete" Latshaw, Somerset; and Mrs. Loretta Matheson, Amsterdam, Ohio; two sons: Thomas J. Gilmer Jr., Houston, Texas; and James Gilmer, Jefferson; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one brother, William Swan, Waynesburg. She was a homemaker, a retired factory worker with Michael Berkowicz Co., a union member and officer of the local AFL-CIO. She had lived most of her life in Greene County and the last 10 years in Somerset County. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Somerset. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Behm Funeral Home, Route 188, Jefferson (Greene County), where services will be held Saturday, June 6, at 11 a.m., with the Rev.
