Gindlesperger Sr., 75, Jennerstown, died Oct. 2, 2007, at Somerset Hospital. Born Oct. 14, 1931, in Jenner Township, son of the late William and Bertha (Hutzel) Gindlesperger. Survived by wife of 52 years, the former Annie Mae Beahr; daughter, Ruth, married to David H. Carroll; and son Charles Jr., married to Crystal Bard, both of Jennerstown; and grandchildren, Thomas and Tyler Carroll and Michael, Jeffrey and Amanda Gindlesperger. Brother of Ethel, married to William Raley, Coal Junction; Annabelle, married to Nick Kalanish, Cairnbrook; and Frances, married to Jerry Smith, Windber. Member of Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle, Jennerstown, where he served as deacon, Sunday school teacher and bus driver for many years. Also a longtime member of Jenner Community Sportsmen Club, where he and Annie served as caretakers for 43 years. Voted sportsman of the year in 1990 by the club. Army veteran of the Korean War, having served in combat. Dragline operator and deep mine mechanic for area coal mines for numerous years. He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing, tinkering and spending time with his grandchildren. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle. The Rev. Gary W. Anderson officiating. Interment Mount Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Jenner Township.
