Born July 25, 1906, in Quemahoning Township, son of the late William and Clara (Kaufman) Gindlesperger. Preceded in death by wife, the former Dorothy Meyers, in 1972; sisters: Bertha Gindlesperger and Ella Sechler, and brother, Clayton. Survived by son, William W., Rockwood RD 1, and daughters, Louise Marks, Williamsport, and Mrs. John (Rita) Kreger Jr., Markleton RD 1; also grandchildren: Dorothy Jean Gindlesperger, Betsy Jo and William J. Kreger. He lived 76 years on his farm in Milford Township. Long-time member of Messiah Lutheran Church in New Centerville, where he served on the church council, was a past Sunday school superintendent for many years and was chariman of the church building committee; a 58-year-member of the Milford Grange 1744, where he was a 7th-degree member, holding the offices of master, overseer, steward and treasurer at various times. Past member of Rockwood Area School board. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Somerset. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Messiah Lutheran Church, Pastor Mel Kirk officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
