Sherman Gindlesperger Sr., 76, 416 Main St., Boswell, died unexpectedly April 12 at home. He was born May 28, 1899, in Somerset County, son of Benjamin and Eve Ringler Gindlesperger. He was preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Ruth Christner, who died March 9, 1963; a daughter Mrs. Dorothy Shaver, who died Dec. 31, 1971; sisters, Florence and Mary; and a brother Paul. Surviving are two children, Sherman (Bud) Jr., at home; and Deanna, wife of Frederick Tipton of Garfield Heights, Ohio; six grandchildren, Ruth Ann, Gloria Jean, William, Randy, George and Scott; and seven great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Mrs. Elizabeth Weimer of Carlisle and Donald of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. He was a charter member of the former Evangelical Reform Church of Boswell; member of Laurel Mountain Senior Citizens; a prominent retired contractor, having been in business with his father since his early youth and with his son in later years. He had been a resident of Boswell since 1913; he was a contractor for many area homes, businesses and churches. A service was held April 15 at Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home with the Rev. George A.
