  ELMER H. GINTER
  
  Elmer H. Ginter, 63, Jennerstown, died Jan. 29, 1988, at Conemaugh Valley
  Memorial Hospital.  Born May 22, 1924, in Tyrone, a son of Louis E. and
  Florence (High) Ginter.  Preceded in death by parents and a brother, Louis
  Fisk Ginter.  Survived by wife, the former Doris Hammerton; sons and
  family:  Lawrence Ginter and Jill Rodgers, Warren Ginter and Joyce
  Geisweidt and David Ginter, married to the former Jayne Benford, all of
  Jennerstown; also nine grandchildren.  A brother of:  Harriet Dietch,
  Oakmont; Joan Cullen, Upper Darby; and Louzette Peters, Philadelphia.  A
  member of Telephone Pioneers, Fort Pitt Chapter and Independent Telephone
  Pioneers; a retired employee of AT&T Long Lines Division, with 45 years of
  service; a past president of Johnstown R.C. Model Plane Club; a life member
  of Jennerstown Fire Department and an Army veteran of W.W.II.  Due to family
  coming from distant points, friends will be received 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2-4
  and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Bowell
  [sic], where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Father George
  Keith officiating.  Interment, Mt. Zion Cemetery.
