Giusto, 75, of Windber died March 12, 2001 at Windber Medical Center. Born Dec. 5, 1925 in Windber, son of Carl and Carmella (Torquato) Giusto. Preceded in death by parents, sister Gloria Albano and grandson Anthony. Survived by wife of 49 years, the former Gloria Ailes and sons; Carl married to the former Betsy Gamberg, Alvin, Texas, and Louis, married to the former Joyce Hackley, Woodstock, Va. Also grandchildren Carl and Louis Giusto and Louis, Ian and Nicholas Giusto. Brother of Josephine, wife of Frank Alcamo, Johnstown, and Frances, wife of Ralph McAloose, Pottstown. Also brother-in-law Vincent Albano, Los Angeles, Calif. and many beloved nieces and nephews. Mr. Giusto was a graduate of Concord College and received his master's degree fro IUP. He was a former band director and chairman of the music department at Windber Area High School serving from 1955-1970. Served as mayor of Windber Borough from 1968-70 and currently was serving on borough council. Served as commissioner of Kent County, Del. Mr. Giusto was a World War II Navy veteran and was a member of Windber VFW, PSEA, and DSEA. He was former owner/operator of Gold Key Restaurant, Dover, Del. Member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber where funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday. Committal church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Military graveside rite by Windber, VFW.
