A. Glass, a well known Cove farmer, died at her home on Cove Hill about 2 o'clock Friday morning, after an illness of several weeks. She had been in a hospital since April 27, and at her urgent request to be allowed to go home, was removed there Thursday afternoon. Her family had entertained but little hope for her recovery for some time. Mrs. Glass had lived all of her life at the home where she died. She was born there, May 24, 1876, a daughter of Phillip and Mary Hanft Miller, and was 64 years of age. She and Mr. Glass were married there in September 1892 and reared their family on this farm. She united with the English Lutheran Church of Cove in her early girlhood and, until ill health prevented, took an active interest in the work of that organization. She was also a leader in the work of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. Mrs. Glass was a good wife and mother and a kind and considerate neighbor and had earned for herself a wide circle of friends. She was well known in this and the Accident communities as well as those adjoining. Surviving are her husband and seven children, namely, Mrs. Nellie Hutzell, Zanesville, O.; Mrs. Ethel Jenkins, Friendsville; Ernest Glass and Henry Glass, Accident; Francis Glass, Westernport, who served in the World War, Carl Glass and Olen Glass at home. One brother, Albert Miller, Philadelphia, one sister, Mrs. Rosie Ringer, Wadsworth, O., and twenty grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Glass was also a sister of the late H. P. Miller, who was well known here. Funeral services were conducted from the home at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon by the Rev. L. A. Wagner, pastor of her church. Interment was in the Little Brown Church Cemetery, under the supervision of William Winterberg, local mortician. Pallbearers were Lawrence Sellers, John Hetrick, Harry Margroff, Scott Duckworth, John Opel, and Bert Griffith. All of the immediate relatives from out of town were here for these services.
