F. Swartz, in Pittsburgh, on Monday, April 6th, after a three weeks' illness. Miss Glass, who was born in Markleysburg, Pa., in October, 1878, was within a few months of being 53 years old. For five years she was a housekeeper at the parish house of St. Stephen's Church in Hazelwood, of which church she was a member. Three weeks ago she became quite ill from heart disease and was removed to the home of her sister, Mrs. Swartz, where she passed away. Most of her life she lived in Hazelwood and was active in the church work there. Funeral services were conducted Friday morning, April 10th, at 10 o'clock, solemn requiem high mass being celebrated by Very Rev. J. J. Brady of SS. Philip and James Church, Meyersdale, and Father Hagerty of St. Agnes Parish, Pittsburgh. Interment was made in Calvary Cemetery in Hazelwood. Miss Glass is survived by her father, three sisters, Miss Lenna Glass of Markleysburg, Mrs. H. F. Swartz and Miss Reba Glass, of Pittsburgh, and eight brothers, J. M. Glass of Dawson, D. D. Glass, of Somerfield, James Glass of Markleysburg, Kimmel Glass of Warren, Ohio, Mark, Carter and Paul Glass, of Uniontown, and Dr. C. C. Glass, of Meyersdale. One brother, Joseph, preceded her to the grave. Meyersdale Republican, April 16, 1931
