    Paul Glass, 95, Somerset, died Dec. 31, 2007, at Somerset Hospital. Born June 29, 1912,
  in South Fork, the son of Frank and Helen Glass. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the
  former Irene Belle Bittinger, who died Oct. 16, 1976; a daughter, Arlene Fitzgerald; a
  granddaughter and a great-great-granddaughter; a brother, Joseph; and sisters, Mary and
  Anna. Survived by children, Vernon A. Glass, James Creek; Glenn R. Glass, Olympia, Wash.;
  Mrs. Wilbur (Janet) Shaffer, Somerset; Mrs. Robert L. (Nancy) Gindlesperger, Berlin; 13
  grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Worked as a coal
  miner for GMW Coal Co. until his retirement in 1972. Also a member of Holy Trinity
  Lutheran Church, Berlin and the UMWA. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday
  at the Hauger- Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted 11 a.m.
  Thursday. The Rev. John W. Harmon officiating. Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
