Born Nov. 15, 1903, in Accident, Md., a son of the late John and Mary (Schlossnagle) Glass. He is survived by his wife, the former Geneva Mimna; also the following children: John William, Addison; Mrs. Betty Silbaugh of Scott Depot, W.Va.; Mrs. Nancy Reichenbecher of Accident, Md.; two sisters: Alice Green of Morgantown, W.Va.; and Matilda VanGilder of Fairmont, W.Va.; and one brother, Harvey, of Cumberland, Md. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Gladys; three brothers and three sisters. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a board director of Somerset Rural Electric Cooperative for 22 years. Former member of Turkeyfoot Valley School Board. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Thursday at the Humbert Funeral home, Confluence. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, St. John's Lutheran Church, Addison, the Rev. David Bomboy and the Rev. Lester Rudisell officiating. Interment, Addison Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Addison Lutheran Church or other charities. Daily American, November 6, 1980 [G0508]
