  A. H. Glenn aged 40 years, a Western Maryland railroad conductor, of Elkins, 
W. Va. was drowned late Saturday afternoon in the Potomac at Cumberland. Glenn, 
who could not swim, was under the impression that he could wade out in the 
water, not knowing its depth. He sank immediately but came up frantically 
calling for help. A companion was powerless to aid the drowning man.
