Born Oct. 20, 1911, in Butler, a son of Robert Roy and Estella (Young) Glenn. He is preceded in death by parents; brother, Keith Glenn; and sisters, Evelyn Wilkinson and Valdia. Survived by wife, the former Garnet R. Romesburg to whom he was married 58 years. A member of the United Presbyterian Church, Butler. A 1929 graduate of Butler High School and a graduate of the State Police Academy in Hershey. A U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II, where he was a POW. Worked as a state police officer for the Pa. State Police retiring in 1967. After his retirement, he worked for 15 years for the Mental Health Department. Also a member of the National State Police Association and American Legion Post 181. He was an avid sportsman, playing semipro football, tennis, golf and hunting. Friends received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. James L. Monticue officiating.
