He was born May 25, 1921, in Brothersvalley Township, a son of the late Royden and Mazie (Werner) Glessner. He is survived by his stepmother, Evelyn Glessner, of Salisbury; three brothers: James Rork, Akron, Ohio; Gene Glessner, Pittsburgh; and Donald Glessner, Salisbury; two sisters: Mrs. Nellie Lottig, Meyersdale RD 1; and Mrs. Edna Housel, Salisbury; and a stepsister, Mrs. Helen Libbert, California; also a number of nieces and nephews. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a master sergeant after 20 years of service, he was employed by Ace Welding Supply of Detroit. Friends were received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where services were conducted with the Rev. Wayne Rickard officiating. Interment, Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
