  GLESSNER
  
  Alvin S. Glessner Sr., 89, of Huntingdon Valley, Pa., formerly of West Main
  St., Somerset, died March 17, 1984, at the Luther Woods Nursing Home.  He
  was born June 19, 1894, in Stonycreek Township, a son of the late William
  J. and Sarah (Stoy) Glessner.  He was preceded in death by his wife, the
  former Evelyn Miller; five brothers and five sisters.  He is survived by a
  son, Alvin S. Jr., of Huntingdon Valley, and a sister, Ruth Kates of
  Wilmington, Del.  He was a member and elder emeritus of St. Paul's United
  Church of Christ, past president of Somerset Hospital Board and director
  emeritus, past president of Somerset Rotary Club and former superintendent
  of the H.W. Walker Company.  Friends received from 4-9 p.m. Monday at the
  Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home where service will be conducted at 11 a.m.
  Tuesday, the Rev. William Mulford officiating.  Interment, Somerset County
  Memorial Park.
