Born march 5, 1921 in Somerset. Son of Charles Hobert and Margaret Elizabeth (Snyder) Glessner. Preceded in death by parents; daughter Margaret Suzanne Glessner, Feb. 27, 1955; and sister Bety Mae Davis. Survived by wife, the former Norma Lee Pitzer to whom he was married 58 years; children Mrs. Ralph L. (Lydia) Welsh of Somerset, Charles D. "Bud" Glessner, married to the former Ernestine Gilligan of Cross Junction, Va., and Mrs. Barry L. (Betty Jean "Jeannie") Atchison of Rockwood; grandchildren Mrs. Clentin (Heather) Martin of Greensburg, Amanda Lynn Welsh of Somerset, Jason L. Atchison and wife Kelly, and Clifford A. Atchison and wife Kris, all of Rockwood. Also great-grandchildren Alex and Zoe Martin. Member of Calvary United Methodist Church. A 1939 graduate of Somerset High School. World War II veteran of United States Air Force. Employed at Bognar Co. from 1971-1983 and was a Mechanical Engineer Supervisor for M. Glosser & Sons from 1971 until retiring in 1983. He was an avid vegetable gardener. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, the Rev.
