    Charles J. "Shorty" Glessner, 77, of Friedens RD 2, died suddenly Jan. 8,
  1981.  He was born Feb. 13, 1903, in Stonycreek Township, son of Harville
  and Sadie (Stutzman) Glessner.
    He was preceded in death by parents, three sisters and one brother.  He
  is survived by sister, Mrs. John (Mary) Fox, Shanksville, and a number
  nieces and nephews.  He taught school in several Somerset County schools
  early in life and was retired from PennDOT where he had many years of
  service.
    He was a member of Unity at Glade United Church of Christ and the
  Mountain Field and Stream Sportsmen's Association, Roxbury.
    Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where
  services were held  with the Rev. Wayne D. Sautter officiating.  Interment,
  Glade Cemetery.
