"Chuck" 01/25/05 Daily American Charles L. "Chuck" Glessner, 82, Glessner Acres Road, Jennerstown, died Jan. 23, 2005, at Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Oct. 13, 1922 in Jenner Township, son of Theodore C. Sr. and Florence (Stevens) Glessner. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Richard. Survived by wife of 61 years, the former Lorraine M. Henry; children, Vonnie, married to Gary Scott, Knoxville, Tenn.; Judith L. married to Timothy Fyock, Laughlintown; Charles R., married to Amy Reffner, Friedens and Kim Nosworthy, Jennerstown and her fiance, Stephen Brant, Somerset; grandsons, Sean and Mark Fyock, and Joshua and Jonathan Glessner; great-grandson, Logan Glessner and brother Theodore "Bud" and wife, Dorothy, Boswell. Also survived by his beloved horse, Teddy. A 1941 graduate of the former Boswell High School. School bus driver for Griffith Transportation for more than 15 years. Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Avid horse rider. Lifelong member of the Jenner Township Baptist Church. Also member of Blue Lodge, Masonic Order having been past master of the former Sunnehanna Lodge 742 F. & A.M. and current member of Somerset Lodge 358 F. & A. M. Also member of the Scottish Rite Valley Consistory of Altoona, Altoona Shrine and Mounted Horse Patrol, Knights Templer and Yorkrite, both of Johnstown. Active member of the Somerset County Sheriff's Posse and member of the Will's Grange. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Main St., Boswell, where Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Rev. Father Mark Zimmerman officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Shriner's Hospital, c/o the Jaffa Temple, Box 1984, Altoona, PA 16603
