"Molly" 10/17/08 Daily American Clare T. "Molly" Glessner, 74, Baltimore Street, New Baltimore, died Oct. 16, 2008, at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. Mrs. Glessner was born in St. Louis, Mo., on Nov. 11, 1933, the daughter of the late Arthur Edward and Mary Agnes (McGraw) Brooks. She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur; three sisters, Bernice Monteleone, Mary Stiffler and Jean Neri. Clare was the wife of Gilbert M. Glessner, whom she married Nov. 21, 1953. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Gilbert J., husband of Kathy L. Darr, Mount Pleasant; daughter, Charlotte M., wife of Jack C. Gumbert, Berlin; son, Jeffrey E. Glessner, Berlin; son, Paul E. Glessner, Berlin; son, Thomes E. Glessner, Crofton, Md.; daughter, Tammie S., wife of Dustin Ritchey, New Baltimore. Clare is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Jacquelin M., wife of Harry Hoover, Jeremiah J., married to the former Lisa Schrock, Jack C. Gumbert II, Joel C. and Corey J. Gumbert, Carly J., wife of Luke Twarek, Elijah, Ian, Tyler, Cody and Dakota Glessner, Brandy M. Wertz, Bryce and Brook Ritchey. Three great- grandchildren, Joseph Twarek, Grant and Jordan Hoover also survive, along with her beloved pet, Oscar. She worked as a cook at St. Johns Retreat Center. Clare also served as a Judge of Elections in New Baltimore Borough for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking and was famous for her gobs and cinnamon rolls. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Baltimore, and served in the U.S. Navy. Friends are invited to call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Mickle-Geisel Funeral Home, Schellsburg, where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 8:45 p.m. Friday. A funeral Mass will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Church, with Father Allan Zeth officiating. Committal service will be held at St. Johns Cemetery, New Baltimore.
