Born Dec. 26, 1928 in Meyersdale, a son of Julia (Hutzel) Glessner, Meyersdale, and the late William Glessner. Also preceded in death by infant daughter, Linda Carol. Survived by his mother; his wife of 54 years, Mary Bertha (Sass) Glessner, Fort Ashby, W.Va.; 2 daughters, Nancy, wife of Bob Hengst, York, and Sally, wife of Jeff Smith, Fort Ashby, W.Va.; and a son, William Glessner, Berlin; also 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; one sister, Louise, wife of Bill Bowser, Chambersburg; and several loving nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale. Retired from the Western Maryland and CSX Railroad with 42 years of service. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Glenn P. Foster officiating.
