GLESSNER BERLIN, Sept. 16 - Edward D. Glessner, aged 66 years, passed away at his home on Main Street, last Thursday morning. For several months he had been suffering from a complication of diseases. He recently underwent an operation at the Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, and about ten days ago was removed to his home, where he passed away. He was a son of Tobias and Catherine Glessner. For many years he operated farms in Stonycreek and Brothersvalley townships, but when he retired he moved to Berlin, where he has since made his home. He was a very active member to Trinity Reformed Church. Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon by the pastor of the Reformed Church, Rev. D. S. Stephan. Johnson & Son had charge of the funeral, with interment in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Mr. Glessner is survived by his wife, and the following children: Rev. Cyrus T. Glessner, Norristown, Pa.; Harry H. Glessner, Mrs. Nevin Croner, and Willard D. Glessner, all of Brothersvalley Township. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Jacob W., of Shanksville; Joseph T., Waterloo, Ia.; John L., of Downey; Mrs. John Lowry, of Shanksville; Mrs. Edward Boyer, of Roxbury, and Albert, of Stonycreek Township.
