Glessner, 71, of 123 Broadway, Meyersdale, died April 29, 1974, in Meyersdale Community Hospital. Born Dec. 26, 1902, in Meyersdale, she was a daughter of the late Charles Frederick and Anna (Poschman) Glessner. She was also preceded in death by a brother, A. C. Glessner, Jan. 19, 1931. She is survived by a sister, Lydia (Glessner) Snyder, with whom she resided, and five nephews: Barry J. Snyder of Bedford; Jack M. Snyder of Rockford, Ill.; Albert C. Glessner, Warsaw, Va.; Charles H. Glessner, Plainfield, N.J.; and Fred S. Glessner, Wexford, Pa.; and a grandnephew, Barry Timothy Snyder of Bedford. For over 33 years she was employed with General Telephone Company in the business offices, both in Meyersdale and Somerset, as supervisor. A life long member of Amity United Church of Christ, she was a member of its choir since she was 12 years old. She was a soloist and with her sister, Lydia, also sang duets at various functions here and throughout the county. She was a member of Trinity Chapter 138 OES, Somerset; Meyersdale Garden Club, and Hillcrest Grange, where she was a member of the chorus. Funeral service will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at two o'clock in William R. Price Funeral Home, Inc., Meyersdale, with Rev. Lloyd Sechriest officiating. Interment in the Reformed Cemetery.
