Glessner, 83, of Somerset, died Aug. 4, 1975 in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Feb. 14, 1892 in Pulaski, Va., a daughter of the late A. E. and Mary Davis Miller. Survived by her husband, Alvin S.; one son, Alvin S. Jr. of Huntington Valley; and these brothers and sisters: Mrs. C. A. (Agnes) Hartline Harrisonburg, Va.; Mrs. Margaret Glessner of Bristol, Tenn.; Mrs. Virginia Worley of Raleigh, N.C.; Allan Miller of Bristol, Tenn.; and Dr. Lloyd D. Miller of Marion, N.C. Preceded in death by a brother. She was a member of the United Church of Christ; was a senior Hospital Auxiliary member since 1934 and had served as secretary for many years. She was also a member of the Fortnightly Club and was a member and past president of the Somerset Garden Club. She was a Republican Party Committeewoman, was a Liberty Bond chairman and was a member of the Women's Guild of the United Church of Christ. Friends received after 7 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev.
