Born Oct. 13, 1915, in Stonycreek Township, Somerset County, son of the late Jacob S. and Orpha L. (Croner) Glessner. Preceded in death by brother, Jay. Survived by widow, the former Zella (Weaver); and foster son, William Barnes, married to the former Rose Zatt of Commodore, Pa.; also four grandchildren: Melissa, Melinda, Billy Jo and Jennifer Rose. Brother of William, married to the former Cherie Emerick of Berlin; and Ada, widow of Jay, Johnstown. Member of Scalp Level Church of Christ, Berlin RD. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Meek Funeral Home, Inc., Windber, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Monday at Scalp Level Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Bernard Fuska officiating. Deacon prayer service 8:45 p.m. Sunday. Interment, Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to Windber Hospital Hospice.
