Born Dec. 27, 1897 in Jefferson Township, daughter of William Henry and Ida (Shaulis) Gardner. Preceded in death by husband, Howard Garfield Glessner, who died May 13, 1973; brother, Elmer Eugene Gardner; sister, Eva Isner and stepsons, Royden, George and Paul Glessner. Survived by a number of cousins, including caregiver Mrs. Ruth M. Baker of Bakersville; and numerous step grandchildren. Lifelong member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church of Bakersville. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Monday, at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, with the Rev. Edward W. Ebersole officiating.
