  SHERMAN D. GLESSNER
  
    Sherman D. Glessner, 77, Berlin RD 4, died Sept. 16, 1974, in Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  Born April 10, 1897, in Stonycreek Township, he was a
  son of Jefferson and Sadie (Weigle) Glessner.  He was preceded in death by
  an infant daughter and eight brothers.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Anna M. Weighley, and these children:
  Mrs. Margaret Block of York; Mrs. Edgar (Hazel) Sechler, Somerset RD 5;
  Mrs. George (Emily) Waters, New Florence RD 1; Mrs. Charles (Wilma)
  Klinger, Lancaster; Mrs. Donald (Mary) Mason, Philadelphia; Mrs. Paul
  (Helen) Woolslayer, Meyersdale; Donald of Berlin RD 4; and Miss Connie
  Pittsburgh; also 21 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two
  sisters, Mrs. Maria Fuller, Greenville; and Mrs. Helen Mazer, Franklin, Wis.
    Until his retirement several years ago, he was a prominent farmer of
  Brothersvalley Township.  He was a member of Roxbury United Church of
  Christ.
    Funeral service was held Sept. 19 in Johnson and Son Funeral Home,
  Berlin, with Rev. Herald V. Seese and Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating. 
  Interment in Berlin IOOF Cemetery.
