  WILLIAM E. GLESSNER
  
    William E. Glessner, 63, of Berlin RD 1, died May 18 in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  He was born Feb. 26, 1912, in Stonycreek Township, a
  son of the late Leroy W. and Sadie Engle Glessner.  He was preceded in
  death by an infant daughter.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Ruth Sayler; a son, William Leroy and
  two grandchildren.
    He was a member and elder of Trinity United Church of Christ, Roxbury;
  Somerset Lodge 358 F and AM; member and past president of Somerset Shrine
  Club; Somerset County Consistory Club; Consistory Valley of Altoona; Jaffa
  Temple Shrine; the Jaffa Greeters.
    He was also a member of Westmoreland Forest No. 77 Tall Cedars of
  Lebanon; charter member of Mountain Field and Stream Club, Roxbury;
  Oddfellows Lodge No. 448; Berlin Lions Club; director and treasurer of
  Farmers Union Mutual Insurance Assn. and Fire Insurance Co. of Berlin; a
  member of Wills Grange; director of Berlin Ambulance Assn. and director of
  the Somerset Masonic Temple Assn.
    Services were conducted May 21 in the Johnson and Son Funeral Home, the
  Rev. Herald V. Seese officiating.  Interment was in the Berlin IOOF
  cemetery.
