Her late husband, who died nearly three years ago, was from his early manhood up to the time of his death, a prosperous farmer of Elk Lick Township, and resided on the farm where he was born and reared, about two miles east of Salisbury. Mr. and Mrs. Glotfelty were united in marriage about the year 1875, and were the parents of seven children, two of whom preceded their parents to the grave. The surviving children are: Albert, of Greenville Township; David, of Elk Lick Township; Mrs. Leora Jenkins and Mrs. Myrtle Knieriem, of Frostburg, Md., and Miss Melissa, of Washington, D.C. Mrs. Glotfelty had been in poor health for years and soon after the death of her husband made her home with one of her daughters, in Frostburg, Md. Her death was due to a complication of diseases, and three weeks before she died she was stricken with paralysis, from which she was unable to recover. She was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church and retained her church membership in Salisbury, where she worshipped for many years, but after making her home in Frostburg attended the Lutheran Church there. Her funeral was conducted by the pastor of the Frostburg Lutheran Church, assisted by Rev. S. D. Sigler, pastor of the Lutheran Church of Salisbury. The obsequies were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Jenkins, her son-in-law and daughter, in Frostburg. Her body was brought to Salisbury for burial, and was laid to rest in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. The funeral and burial took place last Thursday afternoon. In addition to her surviving children, Mrs. Glotfelty is also survived by 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother and one sister. The surviving brother and sister are Peter Burkholder and Melissa Lohr, of Garrett. Meyersdale Republican, February 12, 1931
