Glotfelty, 55, of Accident RD 1, Md., was pronounced dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland. Mr. Glotfelty was president of the Garrett County Processing and Packaging Corporation and founder of Foxtown Hickory Rocker Chair Company. A native of Accident, Md., he was a son of Orval Glotfelty and Emma (Brenneman) Glotfelty, Accident RD 1. He was a veteran of World War II, chairman of the Garrett County Soil Conservation Districts, past president of Garrett County Farm Bureau, member of Garrett County Planning Commission and Northern High School PTA. Also surviving besides his parents, are his widow, Ruth (Buckel) Glotfelty; three sons, Rodney Glotfelty, Oakland, Md.; Barry Glotfelty, College Park, Md.; Scott Glotfelty, at home; two daughters, Miss Joan Glotfelty, New York City; Miss Carol Glotfelty, College Park, Md.; a brother, Dale Glotfelty, Westernport; three sisters, Mrs. Helen Englar, Westminster; Mrs. Betty Hummel, Olympia, Wash.; and Mrs. Dorothy Quaintance, Woodbine, Md. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md. Services were conducted in Emmanuel Lutheran Church by the Rev. James Mitchell. Interment in Bittinger Cemetery.
