GLOTFELTY Roy Randall Glotfelty, 73, of McHenry, Md.; died Thursday, April 20, 1989, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland, Md. Born Oct. 10, 1915, in McHenry, Md., he was the son of the late James A. Garfield and Nora Ellen (Turney) Glotfelty. He was a retired rural mail carrier and Army veteran of World War II as a technician, fourth grade. He was a member of McHenry United Methodist Church, where he served as church treasurer, and the Men's Brotherhood of the church; and Oakland Woodmen of the World. He was a charter member and past commander of Accident Post 208, American Legion. Surviving are his widow, M. Lucille (Savage) Glotfelty; two sons, Allen R. Glotfelty, Mechanicsburg; and Randall R. Glotfelty, Grantsville, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Linda M. Wengerd, Oakland, Md.; and Michele L. Glotfelty, a student at Frostburg State University, Md.; three brothers, Homer J. Glotfelty, Grantsville, Md.; Robert L. Glotfelty, McHenry, Md.; and Grant O. Glotfelty, Barton, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Speicher, Harrisonburg, Va.; and Mrs. Iva Knotts, Crellin; and two grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, McHenry, Md. Services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the McHenry United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ellis Harvey and the Rev. Jim Cain. Interment Thayerville Cemetery, Oakland, Md.
