Glotfelty, 27, a Peace Corps volunteer in Togo W. Africa, died March 23, 1988, of multiple bee stings, at Dapaong Hospital. He was born Dec. 13, 1960, a son of Ruth Dipaolo, of Accident, Md., and the late Robert Glotfelty. He is survived by two brothers, Rodney and Barry and two sisters, Joan Sussman and Carol Bass, all of Accident, Md. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Prior to joining the Peace Corps, he had worked at the Pineview Veterinary Hospital, Oakland, Md. where he served as a relief and emergency veterinarian. In the Peace Corps he was serving on a small husbandry and extension program. His body was flown from Lome, the capital of Togo, to Washington, D.C. on March 27. Services were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Emanual Lutheran Church, Bittinger, Md. Newman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The family is establishing a Scott Glotfelty Trust Fund for humanitarian purposes to further the pioneer work Scott had started for small animals in Togo.
