Born Sept. 10, 1910 in Somerset the daughter of Andrew E. and Nora (Boyts) Bittner. Preceded in death by parents, husband Edward, infant daughter, sisters: Melda Truax and Elsie Halverson, brothers: Elmer, Robert, and Lloyd Bittner. Survived by a sister Meriam B. Stuck of Indians, Pa., nieces Gloria Bittner Hay of Columbia, Mo., and Dorothy Bittner of Somerset, great nephews and niece: R. Craig Bittner, Kim Bittner, and Cynthia Bittner Barron all of Somerset and also other nieces and nephews. Graduate of Boswell High School Class of 1929. Attended Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing. She was on the Dean of Women's Staff at Penn State University, Carnegie-Mellon, and Shippensburg University. Member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Somerset, Trinity Chapter 138 O.E.S., Somerset Hospital Auxiliary, Tri Sigma Sorority, Gamma Sigma Service Sorority, and charter member of R.S.V.P. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Somerset. Rev.
