BERTHA GNAGEY

  Mrs. Bertha Gnagey, wife of Elmer Gnagey of Meyersdale R.D. 3, died at the 
family home Tuesday, May 12.  Her age was 63 years, 4 months and 8 days.  She 
was the daughter of Christ and Elizabeth (Hensel) Smith.  Besides her husband, 
she is survived by one son, Robert Gnagey, of Burgettstown, Pa.; four daughters, 
Mrs. Ira Cober, Berlin; Mrs. Clarence Mimnie, Oakland, Md.; Mrs. Roy Saylor, 
Meyersdale, and Mrs. J. Suder, Berlin; and by 11 grandchildren.  Surviving 
brothers and sisters are William Smith, Meyersdale; Ray Smith, Connellsville; 
Calvin Smith, Friedens; Mrs. William Maul, Meyersdale; Mrs. Howard Rork, Akron, 
O., and Mrs. Minnie Jones, Cumberland, Md.
  Funeral services will be conducted at the home at 3 o'clock Saturday 
afternoon, Rev. DeWitt Miller officiating.  Interment will be made in Union 
Cemetery, H. R. Konhaus, funeral director, in charge.
