Gnagey died at Archbold, Ohio, on Friday, December 22, 1944. She was born at Meyersdale, Pa., on July 19, 1862, aged 82 years, 4 months and 23 days. She was a daughter of Jonas and Barbara Miller Maust, and she married Jacob E. Gnagey on October 29, 1882. She had six sons and six daughters. Five of her children preceded her in death. Her husband, Jacob E. Gnagey, died more than two years ago. She left three daughters and four sons, living: Rev. J. Erwin Gnagey, Ridgefield Park, New Jersey; Mrs. Ray Price, Archbold, Ohio; Mrs. Arminta Ackerman, Mount Pleasant, Michigan; Mrs. Velma Graber, Archbold, Ohio; Elmer and Lloyd, at home on the farm; Homer at Norfolk, Va. She was buried on Christmas morning at 10:30. Service at the Central Mennonite Church, Archbold, O. She was one of 13 children. Four brothers and three sisters remain to mourn her departure. She was a loving and devoted mother, ever faithful to the Church and Christ. She lived on the farm now occupied by Menno J. Yoder, two miles west of Meyersdale, for the greater part of her life.
