Gnagey, widower of the late Mary Handwerk Gnagey, of Meyersdale R.D. 1, died Wednesday morning, April 10, at 5:00 o'clock in the Wenzel Hospital following an illness of twelve weeks. Mr. Gnagey was born September 9, 1850 and at the time of his death was 85 years old. Funeral services will be held at his residence this Friday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. J. E. Walls, pastor of the Maple Grove Church of the Brethren, Grantsville, Md., will be the officiating minister. Interment will be made in the Lichty cemetery at Summit Mills under the direction of H. R. Konhaus, local mortician. He was a life long member of the Summit Mills Church of the Brethren and was a farmer in Summit Township for almost 60 years. The deceased is survived by two sons, Norman C. and Alvin C., both of Meyersdale, Route 1, one sister, Mrs. Howard Fike, also of Route 1, and thirteen grandchildren.
