Gnagey, 67, of Salisbury, died June 10, 1981, at home. Born July 7, 1913 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Homer H. and Kathleen P. (Croft) Gnagey. Survived by his wife, the former Tolva Hillegas, and four children: Preston K. Gnagey, Avon Lake, Ohio; Mrs. Margie G. Goetz and Mrs. Elizabeth K. Statler, both of Salisbury; and Mrs. Glenda G. Westcoat of Greensburg; also four grandchildren: Gretchen and Erin Gnagey, Todd Westcoat and Natalie Statler. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ. He was past president of the Salisbury Borough Council; past president and like member of Salisbury Voluntary Fire Department; former member Salisbury Water Company; secretary-treasurer Salisbury Ambulance Association; former employee of Westinghouse Corporation and retired from the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission. Friends will be received after 1 p.m. Thursday at Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul L. Westcoat Jr. officiating.
