GNAGEY Homer Harrison Gnagey, farmer and dairyman, died at his home in Boynton at 6 a.m. on Saturday, September 27 of coronary occlusion. He recently had several heart attacks, and had been taken to Hazel McGilvery Hospital to recover. He came home on Monday of last week and appeared to be steadily improving although he was remaining in bed. About 4 o'clock on Saturday morning he complained of pains in his legs and about his body, and in a couple of hours he passed away of a blood clot in the coronary artery. Mr. Gnagey began his working life as an electrician for the Duquesne Light Co., and during his employment lasting 15 years with that company, he was married to Miss Kathleen Craft on August 14, 1912 in Chambersburg, Pa., where she lived. In 1921, he moved on the farm. He has been dairying for 18 years, and in 1946 bought out the Paul Miller milk route covering Salisbury and West Salisbury. He was born in Grantsville, Md. on December 31, 1889, son of Jonas and Elizabeth (Swauger) Gnagey and was 57 years, 8 months and 27 days in age at his death. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Homer of Turtle Creek, Pa., and Walter of Boynton; five brothers, Edward of Washington, Pa.; William of Elk Lick Township; Harry of Warren, Pa.; Elmer of East Orange, and Blaine of Albuquerque, New Mexico; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Horne of Boxehead, Wisconsin; Mrs. Cora Lininger of Waterloo, Iowa; Mrs. Lulu Parson of Delmer, Delaware; Mrs. Annie Stanton of Grantsville, Md., and Mrs. Olive Loechel of Salisbury; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the home at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, with Rev. J. B. Warman, former Methodist minister here and in Meyersdale, officiating. Interment in the I.O.O.F.
