Born April 6, 1933 in Somerset Township, she was the daughter of George Ephriem and Helen Marie (Faidley) Gerhardt. Preceded in death by father; husband, James Spangler Gnagey, who died July 10, 1997; and a brother, Douglas Keith Gerhardt. Survived by mother of Somerset; daughters, Mrs. William W. (Tracey Ellen) Gnagey-Sparks of Denton, N.C., Mrs. John O. (Beth Ann) McBride of South Haven, Mich., and Mrs. Michael L. (Judith Lynn) Gnagey-Davis of Somerset; and grandchildren, William James Sparks and James Spangler Gnagey-Davis. Sister of Roger W. Gerhardt of Cleveland, Ohio, and George E. Gerhardt of Friedens. A 1951 graduate of Somerset High School. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity Chapter 138 O.E.S., Somerset Welfare League and Somerset Garden Club and has been active in Somerset volunteer organizations. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday (today) at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rev. Robert L. Hoover Jr. officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
