Gnagey Jr., 71, Fort Myers, Fla., formerly of Somerset, passed away Dec. 12, 1995, at his residence. Born June 7, 1924, in Masontown, son of the late John W. Sr. and Catherine (Siehl) Gnagey. Survived by his wife, the former Barbara Schrock, and the following children: John W. Gnagey III, Mrs. Sonny (Sandy) Johnston and Craig Gnagey, all of Fort Myers, Fla.; Terry Gnagey, Naples, Fla.; Mrs. Glen (Nancy) Metrick, Arcadia, Fla.; five grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Wadsworth, Lancaster; brother, Larry Gnagey, Fort Myers, Fla. World War II veteran of U.S. Air Force. Retired owner-operator of a laundromat in Fort Myers. Formerly owned and operated Gnagey Tire Service in Somerset before moving to Florida. Member of the Somerset Church of the Brethren. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Roger Forry officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
