Gnagey, 99, Meyersdale, died Aug. 14, 1994, at Meyersdale Manor. Born Dec. 12, 1894, in Summit Township, a son of the late Daniel S. and Savilla (Saylor) Gnagey. Preceded in death by two wives, Kate (Miller) Gnagey and Ethel (Wilson) Gnagey; a son, Robert W.; grandson, Bobby; granddaughter, Connie; also five sisters and three brothers. Survived by two daughters, Anna Bertha, wife of the late Paul Christner of Salisbury, and Arlene, wife of Richard Beal, Ashtabula, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Tina Gnagey of Crofton, Md.; four step-children: Ruth Miller, Fort Ashby, W.Va.; James Wilson, Bernice Phillips and Rosalie Brenman, all of Lancaster; also five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Life member of Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. Retired employee of Johnson Memorial Company, retiring in 1960. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Leckemby Funeral Home, where service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Pastor Mike Swick. Interment, Union Cemetery.
