Gnagey, 61, Meyersdale RD 1, died March 6, 1985, at his home. Born May 27, 1923, in Meyersdale, a son of the late William E. and Maude (Hay) Gnagey. Survived by his wife, the former Harriet Jean Smith, and these children: David H., Meyersdale RD 1; Agnes, wife of Ronald Lee, Meyersdale RD 1; and Lois Ann, Washington, Pa.; also two granddaughters. A brother of: William E. Gnagey Jr., Salisbury; and Mrs. Mary Ann Wockenfuss, Adelphi, Md. He was a veteran of World War II, a member of the St. Paul Wilhelm United Church of Christ, where he served on the church consistory, a life-time area farmer, a member of several agricultural organizations, a past member of the Salisbury-Elk Lick School Board and the County Re-evaluation Tax Assessment Board. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the St. Paul Wilhelm United Church of Christ, where the boy will lie in state from 12 noon until time of service, with the Rev.
