  GNAGEY
  
    Robert W. Gnagey, Crofton, Md., formerly of Meyersdale, died Saturday,
  Jan. 23, 1993.  Beloved husband of Leopoldina Gnagey (nee Gross).  Father
  of Diane Lynn Smentkowski of Crofton, Md., and the late Robert Wilson
  Gnagey Jr.  Son of Quinter Gnagey of Meyersdale and late Kate Gnagey. 
  Grandfather of Kristine, Kevin and Stacie, all of Crofton, Md.  Brother of
  Anna Bertha Christner of Meyersdale and Arlene Beall of Ashtabula, Ohio. 
  Survived by several nieces and nephews.  Service and interment are
  private.  Arrangements by Takoma Funeral Home, Washington, D.C.  Gnagey was
  born in Meyersdale on Dec. 13, 1918.  He was graduated from Meyersdale High
  School.  Served two years in Italy as an Army PVC during WWII.  Gnagey
  worked from 1945 till his retirement in 1982 with the D.C. Transit
  Authority and the Metro System of Washington, D.C.  He was also an avid
  fisherman, who spent a lot of time fishing the waters of Deep Creek Lake in
  Western Maryland.
