All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ SUSAN GNAGEY Mrs. Susan Gnagey, aged 79 years, died Saturday night at 11:30 o'clock at her home about two miles west of Meyersdale, following a long illness. She was preceded to the grave by her husband, John D. Gnagey, who passed away in 1911. She is survived by two children, Peter H. Gnagey, of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Daniel W. Long, who, with her husband, lives on the farm so many years the home of her parents. Mrs. Gnagey was a daughter of the late Peter C. Meyers. She was born and lived all of her life in Summit Township. She has one surviving brother, William P. Meyers, a well-known citizen of Meyersdale. Another brother was the late Samuel P. Meyers, and the late Mrs. John A. Miller was her sister. Mrs. Gnagey was a lifelong member of the Church of the Brethren, a good wife and loving mother and kind neighbor. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 in the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, Rev. George L. Detwiler conducted the services. Interment was made in Union Cemetery. Undertaker W. C.
