  WILLIAM E. GNAGEY
  
    William E. Gnagey Sr., 88, of Meyersdale RD 1, died Sept. 11, 1975, in
  the Cumberland Nursing Home.  Born March 22, 1887, in Grantsville, Md., he
  was a son of the late Jonas and Elizabeth (Swauger) Gnagey.  His wife, the
  former Maude Hay, preceded him in death.
    Surviving are four children, Norman and Raymond, both of Meyersdale RD 1;
  William Jr., Salisbury; and Mrs. Mary Ann Wockenfuss, of Aldelphi, Md.; also
  eight grandchildren, a brother, Harry of Warren, Pa.; and two sisters, Mrs.
  Ollie Locchel, Grantsville, Md.; and Mrs. Lula Parsons, of Delmar, Del.
    A prominent area farmer for over 50 years, he was a life member of
  Meyersdale Rotary Club and was a member of the United Church of Christ.
    Funeral Service was held Saturday morning in Price Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale, with Rev. Lloyd Sechriest officiating.  Interment in St. Paul
  Cemetery, Meyersdale RD1.
