Goden, 79, Penn Avenue, Boswell, died June 12, 2003, at Select Specialty Hospital. Born Nov. 27, 1923, in Utahville, Pa., son of Emmanuel and Diven (Dursin) Godin. Preceded in death by parents; brothers Joseph, Emil, James and Harold; and sisters Kay Weaver, Marie Brown, Devieze Pelton, Dorothy Wilkes and Alice Winters. Survived by wife of 56 years, former Velma Stone; daughters Kathryn, married to Jack Scott, Buchanan Mich.; and Wynne, widow of Jeffrey Sechler, Somerset; grandchildren Jill (Scott), married to Brian Gundlock, Niles, Mich.; Samuel Scott, Kalmazoo, Mich., Melanie (Sechler), married to Michael Downing, Oil City; Amy (Sechler), married to Adam Zuccolotto, Camp Hill; and Mitzi Sechler, and fiance Ryan Grove, Tire Hill; and great-grandchildren, Samantha and Charles J. Downing; and Jack Gundlock. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was a heavy equipment operator for several local coal companies, having retired from Goden & Godin Coal Co., Jenner Crossroads. Member of Boswell Church of God. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Gregory Stauffer officiating.
